Dr. Annie Methven-Jeknic is, without question, the best veterinarian I have ever found. And I don’t say that lightly. Over the years, she has cared for my animals through every stage of life- from the heartbreaking moments of end-of-life care with beloved dogs and cats, to the excitement of welcoming my newest puppies and kittens. In every circumstance, she brings an extraordinary combination of knowledge, clinical skill, compassion, patience, and genuine love for animals. What makes Dr. Annie so special is that she doesn’t just treat an animal- she cares for the entire family. She takes the time to listen, explain options, answer questions, and help you make thoughtful decisions without ever making you feel rushed or pressured. During some of the hardest moments I’ve experienced as a pet owner, I couldn’t have asked for a more compassionate person to walk beside me. As a healthcare provider myself, I have an especially deep appreciation for practitioners who combine excellent medicine with critical thinking, integrity, and heart. Dr. Annie is one of those rare people. I trust her completely with the animals I love, and there is truly no higher recommendation I could give. If you are looking for a veterinarian who will care about your pets as individual beings and treat them with the same compassion she would want for her own, you have found her. Five stars simply aren’t enough. ❤️🐾

I’ve known Dr. Methven since she was about 2. When she was 4, she proudly announced she was going to be a veterinarian when she grew up. She has always loved animals. In fact, she cared for feral cats (about 18) from the time she was very young. I had a horse, named Angel, and it didn’t take her long to care for and ride Angel. It was a love at first sight for both of them. She came every day to see Angel. She did her homework in the barn, sometimes up to 11:00 PM. I’ve admired her tenacity in achieving her goal. She was unstoppable in her pursuit of her dream. She graduated from OSU with honors, and I could not be more proud of her. I take my “kids” to her, and she is so patient, caring and loving. She’s extremely detailed, knowledgeable and gives me lots of time with my checkups. After my visit, I feel confident I’m getting the very best care ♥️

I want to thank the doctors and staff at Two Rivers Vet for the amazing care and compassion they showed towards my16 year-old cat and myself during the last year of his life. Like many elderly cats Smokey had a few "issues"—one in particular that was very unusual and daunting to deal with, but Dr. Curran and Dr. Methven did not give up in their quest to help him be as comfortable as possible with this condition. I never once felt rushed during an appointment—something that seems a rarity anymore—and they were always willing to answer all my many questions. Thank you all. I also want to thank vet-tech Amber for offering to do a smudge for Smokey when he passed away. That kindness meant a lot to me, as did everyone's help and time, that difficult day. I highly recommend Two Rivers Vet for their expertise in holistic medicine and their very compassionate approach to practicing Veterinary medicine.
